PDRS Series Bell Mounts

Reliable Vibration Control, Unmatched Durability.

PDRS Series Bell Mounts

PDRS Series Bell Mounts are high-performance rubber vibration isolators designed to deliver stable support and reliable vibration reduction for industrial equipment. Featuring a reinforced bell-shaped steel housing combined with premium natural rubber, this series provides excellent axial and radial load capacity, ensuring effective isolation under both static and dynamic operating conditions. Built for long-term durability, the PDRS Series minimizes noise transmission, absorbs impact shocks, and prevents structural resonance—making it ideal for precision equipment, air compressors, pumps, fans, generators, and other machinery that requires stable, low-vibration performance. Available in multiple sizes and load ratings, PDRS Bell Mounts offer flexible installation options and consistent performance in demanding industrial environments, helping extend equipment lifespan and improve overall operational stability.
PDRS Series Bell Mounts

PDRS Series Bell Mounts operate based on controlled elastic deformation and material damping of high-quality natural rubber. When subjected to dynamic loads, the rubber element temporarily stores vibrational energy and then dissipates it through internal friction—this process significantly reduces transmitted vibration.
The bell-shaped enclosure ensures that deformation occurs primarily in the axial compression direction, resulting in a predictable low natural frequency, which is essential for isolating low-frequency machinery vibration.
Additionally, the controlled radial restriction created by the steel bell housing prevents excessive lateral displacement and shear deformation, offering excellent stability even when equipment experiences multi-directional vibration forces.

The bell-shaped steel housing is a core design advantage because it:

  • Improves load distribution by directing force uniformly into the rubber element, minimizing localized stress and increasing fatigue life.

  • Limits lateral displacement, providing better motion control for rotating and reciprocating machinery.

  • Protects the rubber element from environmental exposure such as oil mist, ozone, UV light, debris, and chemical vapors—common in industrial plants.

  • Enhances radial stiffness, ensuring the mount does not deform excessively during heavy vibration.

  • Supports higher dynamic loads, making it suitable for compressors, generator sets, and pumps with strong cyclical forces.
Overall, the bell housing transforms the mount into a semi-enclosed, mechanically reinforced system that remains stable and durable under long-term cyclic vibration.

Load capacity is determined through a combination of:

  • Rubber hardness (Shore A), which defines stiffness and static deflection behavior.

  • Effective rubber volume and geometry, influencing compression resistance and damping properties.

  • Housing structure, which regulates radial expansion and deformation patterns.

  • Dynamic load coefficient, which adjusts for differences between static and cyclic loads.

  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations that predict stress distribution, deformation, and fatigue under extreme loads.
During development, engineers simulate repeated vibrational cycles to ensure that the mount can maintain structural integrity during long-term machine operation—often in the millions of cycles.
The result is a mount that can safely handle both peak dynamic loads and continuous static loads without degradation.

The PDRS Series is optimized to isolate:

  • Low-frequency vibration generated by rotating machinery (fans, compressors, generators).

  • High-amplitude pulsating vibration found in piston pumps and reciprocating engines.

  • Random vibration spectra often present in HVAC systems and industrial motors.

  • Transient shock loads, such as compressor start/stop cycles and generator ignition.
    Its damping characteristics effectively reduce:

  • Acoustic noise transmission

  • Mechanical resonance

  • Structure-borne vibration
By lowering transmissibility across a wide frequency range, the PDRS Series significantly improves the working stability and operational smoothness of industrial equipment.
